you're only as old as you feel. I thought you were younger until I checked your profile and you have 1938 listed as you birth date. I'm 1959 so you could be my Dad *yks.... well not quite but at least Maine Sails' ;DInteresting other fact, stillraing an Excavation contractor, Ross a home improvements contractor and I'm a commercial roofing contractor.Ross, I should show you the pics of what I'm just finishing in our house... a total gut, to the framing, including tearing out a load bearing wall, of our kitchen, it's been 2 years, but "boat time" takes precedence.

Just consider myself too young to retire. See that story about a man in Great Britian planning to run a marathon at 101? someone asked him why at his age he would want to do that and he said because he had never done it before. Drinks about 7 pints of good beer each day and burns 14 cigarettes. Just have to be very careful about how you choose your genes.

Still raining, Time to talk to the new medicine men.

They are doing some wonderful repair work on old back injuries. You are much too young to be stove up if you can be put back in commission. All my joints are to ones I was born with but the surgeons took out about 10 inches of gut last year because it went bad. I know a woman, 84 years, won't retire, says as long as the doctors keep putting her back together she will keep working. To date she has a new hip, repaired heart, had several kids and works every day in a candy shop waiting on customers and filling candy boxes to order. I don't know any one who has retired from productive work. Several farmers I know are well into their 80's and still run their farms as they have for most of their lives.

I cleaned my bilge this weekend. Graduated in 1964 and my knees hurt also.Damn Mainesail how do you expect us to keep up.. our bodies are getting old and I still have the mind of a 20 year old.

Trouble is ...I have cancer now to-boot and know one will touch my back for fear of infection or spreading it now...I actually tried befor starting Chemo just to get a spinal injection as I was afraid that if I threw up a lot I would re-rupture a disk again, adding insult to injury and really messing up my wage earning abilities...Fortunately I have never thrown up..  There is a new twist on traction...called the DR9000 (I think)..insurance wont pay for it but I might risk the 5k some day and try it..cant remember what its like to be healthy...I always hollered at my employees picking up heavy stuff when there would be a backhoe right there...young and invincible they are/we were...Any way Koo do to all you "Bilge Cleaning Scallywags" who can bend over longer then 60 seconds with out calling 911.....And you to MainSail..
