Did you get it balanced?

not a bad idea to do every 4 to 5 years

nice job Jim

I've seen others go to this extent in cleaning and polishing their props but never did anything to mine other than scraping off the chunks. Does doing what you show buy a performance advantage?

Looks like winter haulout is long for some.

Awsome job, but once back in the water won't last long. I paint the prop to make it easier to maintain so it will never never look as good as that one but will work just as well.

So what do you use. What's your secret process of cleaning your prop. What paint. I'll be coming your way in about a year to Charlotte Harbor so I am looking for advice you have for newbie's. Nick

Scrape and Scrub

Under water I clean my prop by scraping off any barnacles etc with a knife and then I use one of the green stainless steel pads used for cleaning pots and pans. A couple of years ago I had my prop cleaned ,repitched and balanced. It looked so good for about a week!!!!

What happened to your Aussie prop?

Didn't you just replace this thing? Markdb

Barnacles on the Kiwi

So what do you do if the Kiwi prop gets barnacles like the bronze prop? I'm guessing that you can't go at it with knives and steel wool. The green scrubby might also be too abrasive. What do you think? Markdb
