Ready to clean and polish hull. I have used DuPont 7 white in the past, but I cannot find it. Does anyone have a recomendation for both cleaning compound......and protective polish? The less elbow grease the better! Thanks!

great polish

I have allways used 3M perfect it II with a machine polisher. The new automotive rubbing coumpounds are so mild you can not tell that they are at all abraisive. My boat a 1990 in Colorado witch is higher and less protection from the sun comes out great. You can do confined areas by hand. Don't try the machine polisher unless you know how to use it.

Hull topsides polish

Extensive discussion on "Ask All Sailors" forum. Much of it relates to Island Girl product quality, but there is still a lot of comments on competitive product performance. I've used PoliPrep to clean / prep and PolyGlow to polish my hull topsides. I'm very pleased with the results. I've heard that it may yellow over time, but the hull color on our boat is light beige so it doesn't matter.
