Clean but painted

I have cleaned/sanded the bottom of my MacGregor 26D but want to go in the ocean/marina before painting with CSC. What problems will it create if I only stay in the water for a week or so?
Also, how "clean" must I get it before painting?

You are OK doing it and you will not have to do anything else. Just wash with soap and water and rinse with fresh water and let it dry

You can't really make that decision until you pull the boat again and inspect the bottom and wipe off any crud. I used to get algae growth on my trailerable boat (no bottom paint) in just a couple of days... But you won't have to sand again.. just normal prep per paint manufacturer's instructions.
