Clean Bilge

What should you put in the bilge to keep it clean and smelling good ? I always have 1/2 inch of water before the pump kicks on. Thanks.

I squirt a couple pumps of the Dawn concentrate dishwashing liquid in there. Smells good and helps break down any oil or crud in there.
