I'm assuming that I've missed this being posted somehow, but a quick search didn't turn up anything, so I'll put it up just in case it hasn't.

This is a one-page, "classic plastic" article on the 9.2 from the October issue of Cruising World.

Here's a link to a .pdf of the article.

Got out on the water twice last month. Am now sidelined with a leaking fuel line on the Yanmar. Awaiting a replacement from the typically pokey Torreson folks. My goal is to get in a sail at least once a month this winter, so I hope they're not too pokey.

Current foremost project is finding room for two, 200 AH 6 volt AGM batts a friend found for me used but cheap. Actually, they're from heavy duty UPS units. Never used, but out of date. Test well.

woody, three SIX volt batteries won't help you very much, two of them will, right?

Three six-volters would definitely be an "odd" number to have!

My AGMs are 72 pounds each and boy, I wouldn't want to have to heft anything heavier.

BTW the article says you can convert the port settee into a double berth. Does yours do that? That'd sure be nice, but I don't think it's set up that way.

opps........

........should have said 3 12volts my mistake..... i have 3-12 volts that weigh 72lbs each for a total of 216 lbs ...i put them in the original battery compartment ...had to dig out all the 2/4s that the factory had made in to a battery compartment to hold only 2 group 27's it will give me a double set paralle and a single one for starting and back up.....i glassed battens in the box area to set a pieace of 1/2 inch ply wood that is fiberglassed on both sides and a gel-coat finish...then glassed that in on top of the battens.....i am able to strap them down snug and secure with a spacer between each one.......i will post pics when i get home as i am in Hilton Head SC untill monday.......

i am also putting a 12 volt up foward ahead of the water tank in that little storage compartment in order to run a windless.....reason is i can run charging circute from the rear a lot cheaper than i can run tinned battery cables.......so i will have 4 ...12 volts on board

Woody,

We'll look forward to the pictures of the battery compartment.

To further diverge from my original post: I looked up Covington, GA. I see Lake Oconee not too far away. Is that where you'll launch her? Are we all invited to the launch party?

Hey thats my boat! (and me at the helm). The article in Cruising World is an edited down version of the longer one that appeared in Good Old Boat a year or so ago.
