Clarification re: Hunter Marine

In another thread, I posted a link to a description of Tiger Global as a potential purchaser of the assets of Luhrs. Further research finds I was wrong, Tiger International is not Tiger Global.

Tiger's considering taking the assets of some of the powerboat brands and having them built in Florida at the Hunter facility. It is those brands that may have a new name if the deal goes through, not Hunter sailboats which would remain Hunter.

Anyhow, sorry for firing away before I figured out what the deal really was. Duh.

Anyone know what the hell is going on there? We have been waiting on orders for months.

It is simple. Hunter profits supported the power side and the decision to protect Hunter was to file for Chapter 11. Yes, the rumor is try they are going to do something but the plan is to come out better and stronger once they emerge. Also, I believe they are going to receive financial backing. Last week, they had overr 60 orders and were hiring. It will take a little longer to emerge but will be a much stronger and viable company.
