I have used one in a boat with refrigeration and just an ice box, they really help!!!

friend used to use a computer fan in his fridge--worked great.

Do these really help with ice boxes? Where do you position this fan in the icebox?

my friend kept his on top aimed at opposite side, angled down to move the cold air from bottom to more upper areas--cold settles, heat rises....

Read item 6. Air Tumbling Fan in link I listed in my earlier post. Ice and evaporators in old refrigerators and iceboxes were located in top of box because cold air descends and warm air will rise. Addition of fan to mechanically stimulate natural air tumbling and help normalize box temperatures.
