I hope that Christmas Season brings each member of the forum (and their families) the peace and joy similar to that which we all have found through sailing. Our sailing season here has long passed and the slight dusting of snow has gauranteed a white Christmas morning. Our family is slowly gathering here at home from their respective locations across the country and I believe we will have a quiet and joyous celebration of the season, snug in the company of friends and loved ones. Christmas day promises to be +5 cel in Calgay, so we all plan to get the skates on an do a few laps around our lake before retiring to the fire pit for Gleuwine and hot chocolate. I realize that there are members of the forum that may be away from family or may have family too far away to join them at Christmas. I know too, that as sailors, we have been blessed with the opportunity to experience a sport that was once relegated to only the most wealthy and that not all Canadians or Americans can do so. Our family is taking time tomorrow (Christmas Eve) to visit the Food Bank and contribute as a family to those who are not as fortunate as we are. I hope that you and your family take time during the Holidays to re-connect with each other and to remember those less fortunate in some way as well as sharing gifts with each other. From our sailboat to yours ... Merry Christmas
