I want to put some Christmas lights on my boat. Has anyone used LED? Where can I find 12 volt Christmas lights? Or, should I just use A/C and an inverter? Where can I find this stuff? Thanks Tony

They do sell them.

They do sell strands of 12V Xmas lights and they are ussually in the lower end of the market. I found some a couple of years ago in a Flea Market for a couple of dollars a piece. Did not use them so I cannot comment on their reliability. I would try a strand of 110V on an inverter. We did the Ft Laudardale X-Mas light parade with close to 10K lights with a Honda 3000EU generator. That is the way to go.

Befuddled

Yo Tony...

did you ever think to go to Google and just type in "12volt Christmas lights"??? It's amazing what is out there if you will just open your mind a little. I do agree w/Benny though, Honda generator with LOTS of regular lights is much more dramatic.

Cheesy but good

Tony: Try the folks at Cheesy Lights. They sell a huge variety of 12V lights, including Christmas type. I've bought from them in the past. Prices are pretty good, and the quality is as good as the variety. http://www.cheesylights.com/cheesy_1st.html Pete s/v EmmieLou (ODay 322) Little Silver, NJ
