Christmas Light Decoration

Hey, Guys!

Since it's that wonderful time of year to start decorating boats for Christmas, I was trying to come up with a few ideas for a different way to rig lights on my Catalina 25. I was originally thinking of spiraling a strand around my furling genoa, and then maybe running another strand up the backstay up to the masthead and then back down and across the boom to make it look sort of like a mains'l. I also thought outlining the cabin windows and the hull with lights would be pretty cool as well, but it would take a lot of work to get them on and then take them off after Christmas. What do y'all think?

Thanks!
God Bless,
S.S.

If you have the time go for it!

It's not that much work and I have done it many Times. Simply use a halyard to hoist all the strands you want to the top and spread them out once their up. To get around the stays take whatever strands you need to go foward out around the shrouds and move them forward to tie off. Then when time to take down simply replete the process. Harder to explane than to do.
