Christmas in Tennessee

Just returned from a cruise in the Bahamas. 80 degree weather and the scuba diving was perfect.
Each year I explain to my friends in the northeast that it ain't Christmas for a transplanted "son" of Memphis until I hear Alabama sing," Christmas in Dixie."
They usually don't get it because they have not seen...Graceland all in lights.

is that about the half way point between Jonesboro and Batesville if i remember correctly.......

Hey its a small world.... used to have a place up at Woodrow Ark not far from Prim on Greers Ferry lake on Devils Fork Creek ..I bet you knew Earnist Poole from Batesville....he was big in Ham radio back in the day.... obtw...my last name is Goforth from West Memphis.....thats been 50 years ago now lol

Do not know anyone much up there as I have spent most of my life up here in N. Cal. and 21 yrs around the world, US Army, US Navy. Probably related to Johnny Cash from up around Ft. Smith. We have Goforth's who live up by Gridley CA. Chief
Some of our BEST sailing memories are from when we left our First 260 for a winter on Lake Degray. Absolutely beautiful sailing. Ozark Christmas eve on anchor.
