Chimes, a large provider of services to people with disabilities in the Mid Atlantic hosts an annual walk each year along the banks of the Christiana River in Wlimington. This year on May 5 we are going to try something a little new, just before the walkers set off we plan to land Mr. Deeds, our mascot from my Hunter 30.
I wonder if any other sailors may be interested in participating. We have checked with the harbor master and there is adequate depth in the channel and the city is willing to be helpful with scheduling openings of the Market St Bridge.
The waterfront is dotted with resturants and plenty of dockage, since it is rarely visited by recreational boaters other than racing shells.
I'd like to gauge interest and if there is enough we will provide refereshments and other assistance.
