I've come across a Chris-Craft sailboat in Philadelphia (my other waters) with NO SAILS (or outboard motor) for $750. Yep, seven hundred and fifty dollars. I'm looking for advice. 1) anyone out there have any opinions about the boat? 2) anyone have suggestions/comments on buying sails (what it's going to cost me, good sources, whether I need sails specifically for the boat or if the only thing that matters is leech length, etc.) 3) whether anybody thinks this is a good deal or not... Thank you very much. If anyone would like to email me personally you can use seckardt@aol.com. Thanks again for your time.

Nice boats.

An old family friend had one of these... the Pawnee 26 I think. It was designed by Sparkman and Stephens. Nice boat... well made. Sort of a Hunter before the Hunters came out... a decent boat for Everyman. I think it's s shame they were not marketed better. JC
