Honda is great!
I've had my Honda 50 for 3 years. When I was asking the same questions as you are, everyone in the know said "buy the Honda - it is hands down, the very best". I have to agree. I have had no trouble whatsoever. The motor is so quiet in idle , I have accidentally tried to start it again on a few occaisions. I have used it to pull my kids on a tube with great success for hours long going full speed. With the ballast empty, I can get our loaded down boat up to 14 mph easily. I have also trolled with it as I have my boat set up with (2) downriggers. It is very quiet. When I started looking , I was most concerned with the (2) cycle motors out there because they stink and make way to much noise for me. Also, there are several Mac owners in my area who likewise prefer the Honda. Pay the extra cost and get the best. John Kosmalski
