I'll keep an eye out
Brad -I'm racing in this years Mac, I'll look for you. I had a H26 for several years and was always disappointed it wasn't big enough to race the Mac (not that I expected it to compete that well). Moved up to a H35.5 last year and the admiral gave the thumbs up to this years race. I'm looking forward to finishing safely, and preferably not last. I believe that there are only 2 Hunters entered in this years race, mine and another 35.5. The biggest thing to look out for on Lake Michigan is obviously the weather. It can change quickly and make things pretty exciting in a hurry. As long as you keep yourself within reasonable running distance to safe harbor, you should be fine. While some of the Mac requirements may seem extreme (liferaft, epirb), you can't put too high a price on safety. Harnesses and tethers, VHF, GPS, adequate charts, etc all go a long way, and you can't shortcut decent contingency planning in case things don't go quite as expected.Have a safe trip.T J
