It looks like I am going to get to go to my first "Big Time, Real Live Boat Show." I just bought a 1999 Hunter 240 And will be looking for toys to tweak it with and ways to enjoy it more. If anyone has any suggestions concerning "Must Do Show Events" or other Chicago activities for Feb. 3rd or 4th, please let me know. Thanks, Don

Been there

Congrats on the new boat. Check out all the free forums at the show . Most are 1 hour or less time. You can find a list on the internet. You can find many things to buy, just bring you credit card. How bout an auto-pilot? Do you have an handheld VHF or GPS? Want to spend more - how about a spinnaker sail. Spend money - it's good for the economy. Good luck to you

Stop by the LMHSA table and say Hi!

The Lake Michigan Hunter Sailing Association will have a table manned at the Hunter area. Stop by and talk to some fellow Hunter owners. We have been going to Strictly Sail since its inception at the Waukesha WI Expo Center. There are some great seminars and a few good deals on equipment. We also enjoy looking at all the new boats. Check the Strictly Sail web site for a list of the seminars. Don't miss Bubba Gumps (shrimp restaurant) in Navy Pier.

I've done...

Miami and Oakland. Really enjoyed them both. One tip is to cruise the booths at closing time, last day, when they have to start thinking about packing up, some deals get even better! Look for the "Lattitudes and Attitudes" party.
