Oday 28 Middle River, MD
My husband and I just purchased a Hunter 25 and must move it from Sandy Point State Park to Middle River, MD this weekend. Can anyone tell me approximately how long this should take? Would also love to have experienced bay sailor join us on Sunday if possible please. (We haven't sailed in a while and could use the extra hands on deck!)

About 4-5 hours

I can make it from my marina on Frog Mortar Creek (Middle River) to Spa Creek, Annapolis in about 4.5 hours. Depending on where you're going to on Middle River, that might be just a little further than you're traveling. Jack "Friendship" C350, #80

Weather Forcast

You might want to check www.weather.com as the Saturday forcast is for 51 degrees, partly cloudy and wind at 9 mph out of the east south east. Sunday is supposed to be 45 degrees, few showers and wind north north east at 9 mph. Also, assuming you have a choice, head north on an incomming tide to get the current boost of maybe 1 to 1.5 knots over the bottom, and stay east of Hart Miller island as the inside channel is too shallow.

A mix of motoring and sailing

About an hour of motoring, and 3.5 hours of sailing. Of course, it depends on the wind and tide flow. I agree with going *with* the flow of the tide, especially if you're concerned about time. As you round the northeast corner of Hart-Miller island, give it plenty of room. The entrance into Middle River is pretty straight forward. Which part of Middle River are you going to?
