Well, I missed the rendezvous at Solomans. I had to go to a wedding in Charlottesville. Can anyone who attended give us a summary of Bob Bitchin's comments, or maybe post his "prepared" text? His magazine has become my favorite this summer. Anyone who has not seen Lattitudes and Attitudes is missing out on one of the great publications of all times. It is as though it is written and published in the aft cabin of a 44 footer by someone who has had too much to drink and is listening to the Jimmy Buffitt CD for the 4th time because he doesn't know how to work the CD player. In fact, that IS how the magazine is written and published. If I had only known Bitchin was coming I would have skipped the wedding. Who was there; what did Bitchin say???

Missed him

Sorry, I missed his presentation. But I did see him holding down the bow on one of the bigger boats during the race. Also, you missed a free year's subscription to the magazine. Who got married? Mark

Bob's talk

Bob gave a delightful speech at the Rendezvous. He told hilarious stories of his and Jody's travels, all with the thread woven throughout that one's attitude dictates whether the current situation is an ordeal or an adventure. Jody (so he said!) was often in the 'ordeal' category while Bob was riding high on the 'adventure' side. Bob then followed his talk with a wonderful slide show illustrating some of the stories which he'd related earlier. Bob and Jody were so personable, unpretentious, and agreeable. That they flew here from California to join us is a testament to their marvelous philosophy of life. Carpe Diem!
