Chesapeake Bay Rendezvous

Greetings All,
OK so I am going to try to do the leg work for a get together. It
looks like the best bet would be in Solomons Island, MD sometime late
summer. Local for two and midway for the rest of us Chris Neuman and
myself will probably have the longest trips. My schedule is rather
volatile being in the coast guard, but I'll see what I can do. The
two links below should give you a feel for the area's facilities and
attractions. Also I should be able to scrounge up chartlets and make
jpegs at work; I'll do this once I finalize dates and a marina.
Any comments/suggestions welcome.

Hope this works out,
James Ward

Hi James,

My boat won't be in the water this year, but if the Rendezvous works out, then I'll most likely attend the festivities. Since you indicate that you are far from the Solomons area, and I live just across the bridge in Hollywood, MD, I will volunteer to do some of the leg work/phone calls that you might need done. Just email me off list for details. As for dates, I could probably work with most anything. However, I would personally prefer something in the Spring/Early Summer time frame or the Fall time frame where the temps/humidity would be reasonable instead of brutal. However, your the volunteer fall guy :), so pick what works best for you.

James that's great! Be sure to let me know as soon as you have the details, date, place, contact phone for reservations etc. so I can publish the info in "Fair Winds". Remember, only about half of the active VEGAtarians are able to access this group. The rest depend on the newsletter.

Laura and I will make every effort to attend.

Aloha,

Haven't heard much lately. How are the plans coming along?

We'd like to work it in to our vacation. Brian has conveniently
scheduled the Pender Island event for the weekend after my brother's
birthday (Also conveniently scheduled the weekend following my
business meeting in Las Vegas)so I can fit the NW Rendezvous in with
the business trip and see by brother and family in a two week
vacation and my employer will pay most of the air fare. d;^)

Seriously though, we'll come to the Chesapeake Rendezvous if at all
possible but we need to know the date and place pretty soon.
