Chesapeake Bay Meetup

There have been many attempts to organize a meetup of Chesapeake Bay
Vega owners, but all failed for want of followup. Annapolis would be
a good spot. Also, does anyone have bow navlights for sale, or
recommendations for replacements?

Odd, isn't it? The current American Vega Assn. grew out of the old
Vega One Design Chesapeake Assn. (VODCA) so you would think that
there would be better group participation in that area. Guess all
the organization minded Vega owners there have moved on.

Hi Dennis
I have no problem with Annapolis.
I replaced my bow lights with a new set from west marine and I mounted them on a nice small piece of teak.

I'd be interested to join a meetup, but unfortunately my schedule for June is pretty full. I
could possibly do the weekend 6/23-24, but being stationed in Norfolk (the very southern
end of the bay) and given the often fickle winds (see Sir Robin Knox-Johnston's frustrating
last hours before the finish yesterday) I don't think I could make it all the way up to
Annapolis...

Hi Sebastian,
I'm hoping to leave NC on or before June 1st. Should be starting back by then and could possibly meet up 23 or 24th.
Let see what develops with other Vegas for now.
Plenty of time yet!
