Chesapeake Bay Sailors!!!!
Probably the most active bunch of Columbia sailors around, thats all! We have several raft-ups each year, a Columbia lunch in the spring and several dinners at the Annapolis Boat Show in the fall. The Columbia Yacht Owners Association web site is www.columbia-yachts.com. Join us on the Bay!

Potential Columbia owner
Capt'n Pauley, I am in the market for a sloop and considering a Columbia 10.7 meter, circa 1978--an early hull number; I think #8. I would be interested in your comments, views, etc. regarding the Columbia sloops, especially anything you could convey regarding this vintage/size. She seems to be very well built and, this particular ship, in good condition, lightly used and well cared for. If you are familiar with this model/size, I would like to talk to you or others. I would appreciate any helpful hints in 'checking her out'. Let me know if we can discuss and I'll send you contact info. Thanks in advance...... Charlie

I am temporarily in the Chesapeake Bay Area. (Northeast MD). I've seen several other Columbias around the boatyard at Bay Boat Works . I'm a new C-30 owner getting refitted and planning a llooonngg trip down to FL.. I do not believe that I will make it before winter. There are so many great destinations in the Bay alone. I've been reviewing the sailing magazines and rags, and I picked up a couple cruising guides. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
