I collect old tools and had occasion to talk to one Adam Cherubini, son of John Cherubini. Adam says he has access to design notes, original plans etc. BTW his older brother did many of the interior designs. I would not like to exercise Adam, but could pass along any requests of a critial nature or perhaps arrange a chat.

Shoal Draft
I have a shoal draft keel with centerboard provision which Hunter stated was made. The keel certainly looks original and during a recent survey the engineer agreed. Would it be possible to ask whether any drawings exist of this design. If not, would it be possible to get a copy of the standard keel dimensions. Regards, Rick Harvey.

This would seem to be valuable resource to this admittedly small band of Cherubini admirers. I am especially impressed with the interior design of my H37c. The layout and features packed into this boat really take advantage of the space available like few others. the design of the rest of the boat is pretty fine too. I would sure like to see as much of Messrs. Cherubini's contributions as they would see fit to provide.

think your shoal-draft H37C has a centerboard design? I also have a shoal-draft H37C(1979) but see no evidence of a place for a centerboard, at least from the bilge side. There was a post awhile back where someone asked about a slot in the bottom of the keel. The consensus was that it was just the way the mold was made. I have never seen the bottom of my keel.

When the surveyor checked the boat he asked if I had the centerboard. I explained the 37C does not have a centerboard. He stated that my keel would have to have a centerboard and showed me the hollow slot inside the keel. I even had to other boat owners ask me why I removed the centerboard. So I really don't no what the answer is other than scan a photo of my boat and let other 37c owners compare it to theirs. Rick.
