Basically soda crystals. but sometimes have 20 percent Al oxide. Plus the media has a substance that retards H2O. It takes a considerable air compressor to provide the 12-15 cfm at continuous 80 psi. None the less, it is really a quick solution. Just let the bottom dry completely. I pulled my rudder before the haul out, placed it in the bung of a 55 gal plastic barrel. and put 30 gallons of H2O so it would get blown over during the process. The guy that did the job thought I was a little rad.

This is frikin awesome!
I have to strip my Mac 26D from top to bottom. I have a couple cans of the safest stripper but not enough for the whole job.
A few questions;
1; Once stripped, can the gelcoat be brought back or is it a got to paint type deal? (Does it hurt the gel like etch it in any way?)
2: Will this remove "tea stains"? You know that icky brown stuff.
3: Rub rail? Will it melt it?
4; Is it a good idea to wear personal protective equipment like goggles and gloves?
Pic= fancy tea stains. No biscuits.

Edit: What about covering it.... I do this with regular stripper and 6mill plastic on wood. Will it work on this. Too well?
(Here is how I would do it: cut long strips of plastic and lay them under the boat. Apply stripper and lift plastic into place. Tape to cabin top as needed. Cover smaller areas with small pieces.) That's just my idea. Do waht you want.
Try "Iron Out" for the pictured stains. http://www.superironout.com/

Mixes with water and use a garden sprayer to spray it on. The stain will vanish before your eyes.

Please can someone give me the formula for PEEL AWAY? I would like to strip trailer paint and replace it with salt water paint, but don't know what I'm doing. This is for a 22' fin keel capri which I hope to use 50% salt water and 50% lake water. Also, am considering dry storage on the lake....just put her in / out on sail days. That would not be practical on St Simons Bay
Thanks for your help
