The jib sheet cheek blocks on our 1986 H31 are about at the end of their useful life, and we would like to replace them before one fails underway. The blocks are manufactured by Rutgerson (couldn't be somebody like Shaeffer or Harken). Does anyone know a source for Rutgerson hardware?

Rebuild them

You may be better off getting them rebuilt. New sheaves, bushing and pins will make them as good as new. Use delrin for the sheaves. I rebuilt my own on my `83 H31, but they were a different brand name. The cost was about $15 per block.

rutgerson source

The current Hunters are using Rutgerson blocks at the mast base. Try calling Hunter or Selden ((843) 760-6278) to locate a local source.
