I'm new at this but . . .
The Jenny was always a concern of mine. I use a strap with the plastic clips that slide inside each other. This is in addition to a couple of wraps of the sheets and securing the furling line. Other things I do are -- leave a couple of the "salt containers" that gather moisture and trap it in a cup, and a couple of the hanging mildew preventers. I also make sure the head and aft berth doors and secured so they don't slam around when the power boaters zoom past my mooring. I also like to try to keep my water and fuel tanks full (being on a mooring means sometimes having to haul 5-gallon cans out in the dingy). I have a 1992 H28 which as a small bulletin board -- I use that to leave reminders for when I come back to the boat.
