Well, I took my first overnight trip in my boat "Good Things" this weekend. Got caught in a small storm. Then the engine started sputtering a couple of times which kind of scared me because I wasn't looking forward to sailing into a slip in heavy weather.

Anyway, I wanted to check the fuel level, which I thought was high. I pulled up the floor panel with a flashlight and couldn't see any fuel sloshing about.

Is there a good way to check fuel level on these boats? I looked in the manual and didn't see anything.

Another question. Do you need to keep the electric fuel pump turned on while the engine is running? I had it turned off and am thinking this may be why the engine sputtered a bit.

Thanks,
