Check the simple things first - Alternator fixed

I should have taken my own advice and checked the "simple" things first. The ground post on the alternator and the ring connectors were corroded (rust). I cleaned them and re-installed the alternator and guess what - IT WORKED LIKE IS IS SUPPOSED TO!

I still don't know what brand or amperage the alternator is but at least it works!

The 99.44% solution

I found that corrosion to be the #1 problem in electrical circuits in marine environments. It has something to do with salt or some other spice.

Gary, WADU, we almost all of us suggested that right off the bat! Glad you got the gremlins under control. If it's electrical start with the connections.
