Optimist or Pessimist, Now I know I am a Realist, I love adjusting my sheets to get the best from my sails. Although sailing on little Lake Julian outside of Asheville we can get these mountain winds from any direction at any time. One racing sailor said he had to tack all 3 legs of the course once-upon -a-time.

Sounds very much like Lake Mead. Surrounded by high mountains and subject to wind from 0 to sonic.

Looks great. I've got a 65 Wayfarer 32 in need of much work. Unfortunately for her, she's sailable as is, so it's been hard to get motivated to work on her. Yet, your pictures are a strong inspiration.
