I stumbled across a useful, inexpensive drink holder on ebay the other day. I wasn't looking forward to drilling holes in the bulkhead, the suction cup models don't hold well and get stepped on, and the ones that clamp on to the rails don't help anybody not near a rail. This one hangs on the lifeline (or any other line, for that matter) and, because it hangs, doesn't need to be gimbled. The guy who sells them seems to be a pretty good guy. Beer is just too precious to spill.

It looks like it keeps the drinks cold, and a little colour doesn't hurt anything. A REAL old fashioned sailor man will take his drink from any container available. That's the truly traditional deep water approach.

Real sailors
Real sailors just put their beer can in a cozy and set it down where it is sure to get spilled or go overboard. A good coating of beer is widely known to be one of the best fiberglass preservatives. I long ago quit using wax on my hull and switched to beer.

Why do I suspect that KRoss or a friend of his is selling the "inexpensive drink holder on ebay" ? From the response on here, I am not the only one that thinks $7 each and $8 shipping is NOT inexpensive. Tony B

We have 4 of them
They work great... easy to store.... no driling.... with life lines all around the deck you can put them up anywhere. We really like them. Only thing I can say negitive is that they will fade faster than I would like.
