Love those chareters

We have chartered several time (BVI, Greece, Spain) and just loved it. It gives us the opportunity to experience other countries, cultures and boats. We have chareded with Sunsail and Island Yachts, both provided nice clean and mechanicly sound boats.

My wife and I have chartered in BVI and loved it. We did this in March on a 45.5 Beneteau. We have been doing this for about 8 years. I proposed to my wife laying on the beach at Yost Van Dyke after going aground on Coral and being towed off by a local. The sky was crystal blue and sand was white and the water was a bright azure blue....a perfect setting. This on our f irst charter from a discount charter on a CC 37 which sailed great but needed a care.

Trying on a Hunter for "size"

After years of studying and touring boats at boat shows, etc., we decided (coming from a 26 ft) we should charter a Passage 42 before we purchased. So we chartered for a week in the Florida Keys where we found the two of us were able to handle her well. We also toured the Hunter factory and were well satisfied with the quality of construction.

Charleston in June

Anyone have any info on chartering a boat in Charleston SC? I am going to be out there for a reunion the 21-23 of June and thought maybe I should just get a boat instead of a room.
