While I have added fluid to the transmission of the M-25XP in our Catalina 30, I have never fully changed the fluid. Is it routine maintenance to drain and replace the transmission fluid of a Hurth transmission or do I just keep adding fluid ? If I do need to drain it, how do I do that ? Thanks CM

I just suck it all out every 100 hrs. at the oil
change and replace with fresh using the same "oil sucker" as the engine.

...I have used a large seringe to which I attached a long plastic tube to extend the reach and pump the oil from the diptsick hole. Considering the quantity of oil, it takes a few seconds to drain it. Your seringe will be good only once as the oil tends to damage the rubber in the seringe. Have fun... Suck it out, don't drain it out
because there is a crush washer holding the nut in the bottom. You most likely don't have replacements, and should avoid the potential leaks.
