Changing motor mounts

Our oday 26 has the soft style yanmar mounts. They are getting long in the tooth. Has anyone replaced these? If so, did you follow any special alignment procedure? As of last season the boat operated fine, no unusual vibration. I'm concerned the they are original which would put them at 30 years old.

any time you change or adjust motor mounts you need to check the shaft alignment. new mounts will more then likely be higher since the rubber is new and not compacted and the bolts may not go exactly where the old ones were. Do the entire job and be at peace.

I just did this job on the O'Day 322. Not a big deal. I used the adjustment nuts on each mount to jack the engine up, then tilted the engine and swapped out one mount at a time. You must be patient when doing the alignment...it takes some time to dial it in.
