Changing Instrument Panel

Hello all, I have a 1986 Yanmar 3HM35F with a type B Instrument panel. Love the Tachometer, however hate the idiot lights for the engine temp., oil preasure and charging system. Has anybody changed these panels to include the guages? My Yanmar dealer is out for a few days, figured I would post the question.. Thanks! Greg

You can get a plug in pannel from yanmar with instruments, you will need to ensure you have the right sensors for oil pressure and temp and you should be good to go.

You may be suprised on what these unit cost. I think you are looking at something in the neighborhood of $1000.

The last place to go is Yanmar

I did this 15 years ago with my A4 and got everything from NAPA. I presently are in your situation (3QM Yanmar)and will be researching this by talking to mechanics, parts stores, etc. It may require some adapter fittings, but there are plenty of guages and sensors up to the job probably much cheaper than the factory.
