changing inboard prop rotation

is it possible to change to rotation of the prop shaft on my atomic 4 inboard? it is currantly a rt hand rotation, I would like to change it to left hand rotation, as it would help when backing out of the slip. the boat has a LOT!! of stern walk. and I figure I might as well use it to my advantage.

Not at a practical end user level. I don't know the manufacturer of your transmission, but it would have to be completely rebuilt and would be too expensive just to gain a small benefit. Who knows, next year they could assign you a slip on the opposite side, and changing your transmission would become a yearly ritual. I'd suggest giving your marina/club advance notice and see if they can accomodate you to a slip where the prop walk would work to your advantage. Our yacht club has a "slip pick" day based on senority.
