Changing bulb nav station gooseneck light

How do I change the bulb on the gooseneck map light on the nav station?

I don't see how to get it open. I'm cautious about prising the lens off in case I break it

Yes... carefully. I would attempt in the notch shown in your image.

Either the pick or a small straight slot screwdriver

If the plastic is aged it may crumble. Just happens when plastic ages in the sunshine.
