Changing Aqua Signal interior lights in a 1997 Hunter 340

How do you change these lights ?
The cover comes off ... Am I supposed to twist left or right ? seems there's some kind of spring mechanism pulling the core back to the ceiling.

I don't want to break anything. I ordered a replacement one from the shop (LED) with the little toggle arm.

I want to replace the same lights as you. Were you able to remove them?
Can you tell me more about the replacement light? I cannot find it on line.

I replaced all of mine with LED fixtures from Marinebeam. Very happy with them.

Were you able to just pry them out of the ceiling, or was there some trick to it?

They have a spring clip that is up above the liner that holds them tight to the liner. See the pics. My replacement units are the Red/White switchable, see the pic. They come on red when switched on then you flip the toggle switch off then on to change to white.
