Dear Edward,Along with the new engine and its new placement, you will most likely need to also replace or bore out the existing propeller coupling. It will need to be replaced if the transmission make and model changed. If the transmission is the same on the new install you will need to have the coupling bored out to the new size. At the same time I would suggest that you have the machine shop perform a fit and face of the coupling and the shaft. You will need a new stuffing box, which will accept the new shaft diameter. Depending upon the current stern tube OD/Id combination it could require a new larger size or realignment, to keep the shaft in column. You will need to change out the shaft bearing. I would be careful not to use custom sized units. If it requires machining down an existing shaft bearing OD to a thin walled version, you may find it less costly to remove the strut and re-machine the strut ID to accept a larger bearing OD. You will also need to have the propeller hub bored to accept the new shaft diameter. Good Luck, Kevin
