I NEED SOME INFO ON CHANGING THE MACERATOR ON MY HUNTER 340 1997. THE MOTOR RUNS THE HOSE GOING OUT IS NOT CLOGGED BUT THE PUMP DOES NOT MAKE A SOUND.HOW TO DICONECT IT FROM THE ELBOW COMING OUT OF TANK WOULD DO.

I don't think you need a new macerator...
If the motor runs, but doesn't pull anything out, it prob'ly just needs a new impeller...in fact, it should be replaced every couple of years at least as preventive maintenance. Manual for the macerator, which includes instructions for replacing the impeller, is on the Jabsco site here: http://www.jabsco.com/files/18590_series_sealed_macerator.pdf The other possibility is a blocked tank vent, causing the pump (also a pumpout) to pull a vacuum that would prevent anything from being pulled out of the tank. You might want to check out the link below...it'll take you to a comprehensive "marine sanitation systems 101" manual.

Hose replacement
Captain Wolf, Did you have any problems replacing the waste hose from the head to the tank on your H340? I have heard of others who had to work around factory installed tie straps under the liner. Is it difficult to remove the aft bulkhead to gain access to the holding tank?

Hose peplacement
Take the srews out in the bedroom on back wall.remove them and you can get to both holding tank and fuel tank. The hose i drilled a hole in the hose and put a pull line thru it so it would not pull of. pull it from the head side do same with new hose leave enough to cut the hole off.there is no way to get in there if it gets stuck. you are from brielle my wife is from manasquan. Thanks for the information on hose replacement. Yes, we are from Brielle - the town next to Manasquan. We go to the Manasquan beach every Thursday evening to see the fireworks in Pt. Pleasant. Ask your wife if she remebers Leggett's restaurant down on the beach. Unfortunately, there is not much sailing on the Mnasquan River so we keep our H340 down the Parkway in Forked River.
