Merry Xmas! I have posted a picture of our mast step, which brigdes over the keel and bilge.We have a corrosion problem on the Stbd side and are going to repair in-situ as we cannot pull the mast here.Anybody have any experience,ideas,tips for this repair,? please jump in! I could use help with the correct terminology for this type of Mast step! Thanks! and have a great Holiday! Crazyhorse.

Temporary Repair?
If it's a temp repair, and assuming it is a mild steel mast step. I'd think about having a sister plates made up and spot weld them to the existing step. Should provide good support for a couple of years max or until you pull the mast to do a proper replacement, which you will most certainly want to do. BTW, very nice boat. Rick D.
