Thanks. I am good for right now. I have been sick with the flu and did go up one day and sealed the covers topside with E5200. I hate that stuff, but nothing else would work in my situation. There are gaps between where the chainplates pass through these covers on all four sides. I really like that butyl tape, but it would not work in my case and it was a pretty tedious job scraping away the old stuff, not much room to work, and clenaing with acetone. I also removed a build up of silicone, and could not believe someone had at one time used silicone here. Thanks for the input and good luck with your repair job. Oh one other thing, I do not think epoxy would work too well here as it dries solid as a rock and does not flex at all. Later, Carl W
