I believe Steve carries U bolts. I tried removing mine as the hull deck-seam was opening up (Series1). I could not get them to budge. Eventually I cut them off flush with the deck. I used a 9 volt Makita trim saw to open the entire seam and glued it back
together with an epoxy/colloidal silica mix. I made chain plates out of stainless and it came out nice. WaltFrom:

While I have the mast down I was thinking about pulling my chain plate u bolts out. If I need to make new ones does anybody have a solution/source? I thought I saw somebody making them out of a stainless steel marine U bolts and bending them to shape. I
cannot remember where I saw this or what brand name u bolt he was using. Any suggestions? Cheers...
