What has proven to be the best solution for removing Cetol stains & drips from fiberglass?

I assume you mean Cetol that has dripped and dried? Wet Cetol comes off easily with a rag dipped in mineral spirits. Dry Cetol, especially if it dropped into your non-skid, is a real challenge. The previous owner of my previous boat was not a careful painter and dropped some Cetol here and there on the deck. After trying careful scraping, fiberglass paint remover, etc., I gave up after only limited success. But here is what worked for me: I took an artist's small pointed brush and painted the Cetol spots with white topside paint. Worked great....

Cetol inside

Thanks for your advice, Warren. I acquired my H34 last fall. From the looks of the stains on various fiberglass areas inside the cabin, a PO applied Cetol (or possibly an orangy varnish) with less than modest care and no taping. I have revarnished all the woodwork and now need to remove all the drips and runs so it doesn't look like I hit the bonded locker before I did my own varnishing.

I would try rubbing compound

No direct experience but it seems to me it would be the same as removing paint. I removed the painted name from our transom with gentle scraping followed by rubbing compound, then polishing compound. Somewhat hard work but it looks great. David
