Centerboard Access
I just rebuilt the centerboard on my O'day 20. I was able to slide some sturdy beams under the boat just ahead of the well, pad them with carpet and with a buddy and a floor jack on each end, raise the boat enough to slide the centerboard out. This was done while the boat was on the trailer. Make sure the jacks are raised evenly. You have to raise it slowly and carefully and make sure you have enough blocks to support the boat. Don't crawl underneath to do any work with the boat only on the floorjacks. We stacked wooden blocks and beams on the trailer and, again slowly, lowered the baot down onto them. Make sure to pad the wood so you don't screw up your hull
