My H22 is on a trailer with enough room below to drop the centerboard a little and remove the pin. If the saloon table is removed, is it possible to pull the centerboard up through the trunk into the cabin? Thanks in advance for your input.

I have a similar question. I will be looking at a friend's H22 that is for sale. We are on a small lake with no facilities for lifting the boat. I am thinking that I might trailer it up to a Lake Erie marina and get a better feel for the bottom and the swing keel. My old marina could put it in the slings. Unless there is an easier way that someone can enlighten me about.

No, you can't pull it up through the centerboard trunk. You have to drop it from below. You'll need 2 feet of clearance beneath the hull. If it's on the trailer, you'll have to jack up the bow and block it and then jack up the stern and block it.
