The centerboard pendant on my 1980 O'Day 23 passes from the cockpit through a flexable hose to the hull. When underway there's some water leaking into the billge and I suspect that the pentant has worn through the hose allowing causing the leak.

Anyone have this problem and what did you do to fix it?

Otherwise; a great boat!

Thanks,
Charles

i would change the hose for sure. i changed mine in my oday 20 as it was looking old and cracked. i used premium marine hardwall sae j 2006 100-1000-1" hose i found at the local marina. (yours may be a larger diameter.) the oday20 hose has a short run with two 90 degree turns. this was the only hose i could find that would make the bend without collapsing. also check the through hull fiting to make sure that is not leaking.

I've never seen a hose on mine, which is the same model/year. There is a stainless steel tube that runs from the bridge deck down to the keel, or so I thought. Where are you seeing the hose/tube, Aeolus?
