I am rebuildidng a Mariner. When the centerboard is up you can use a 3/8 pen(shaft,bolt,rod....) to hold up the board, thus taking the pressure off the winch. Problem: The pen hole in the centerboard trunk (in the cockpit) is four inches aft of the pen hole in the centerboard. This makes the pen hole in the centerboard right in the center of the enterance to the cabin.I just drilled a new hole in the centerboard.(That took a few bits.) I am just wondering if anyone else had that problem? It Doesn't make sence.
