I just got a Daysailer II which has been neglected for many years. The centerboard freely moves downward...particularly when trying to move the boat on the trailer. I removed the centerboard pivot bolt and dropped the centerboard out of the boat. There is one cable attached to the board on the 'top' when the board is horizontal and a line attached to the 'bow end' when the board is horizontal. There is also a square depression on the centerboard near the pivot point. How can I lock the centerboard in the up position for trailering? What's the best arrangement for the cables to raise and lower the centerboard? What's the purpose of the hole in the top of the centerboard trunk, closer to the stern? How should the lines/cables run from the centerboard trunk to the cockpit? Thanks, Peter Youngbloodpyoungbl@aol.com
