I need help on the best line to use for raising and lower the centerboard on my Hunter 23.5. I understand it's 7/16. My West Marine doesn't have 7/16 and need to order on line.
Do not use anything else than 7/16 for the centerboard line sometimes referred to as the cascade line. You will be sorry if you put 1/2 line in. As a former dealer who sold too many of the water ballast boats and even introduced all of them, I know this answer all too well. Order the line about 20 feet of a good pliable yacht braid.
