I have a 1969 Daysailer. It has the crank type centerboard lever. It appeared to be rigged wrong as the centerboard did not go all the way up when the lever was up. Now I realize this is normal, I guess! Being new to this I removed the centerboard and then did not replace a rubber gasket behind the crank, thinking it was not allowing the shaft to go in far enough. Now find that the leaking problem that has been discussed on this boat is thru this shaft hole. I have found some rubber washers that came with the boat and realize one of them must be for this seal behind the crank. Also a fibreglass spacer about a 1/4 -3/8" thick. Does that go in the well on the shaft? Also is there only one rubber seal for behind the crank on the inside and none on the shaft in the well? Thanks, Bill
